Rogue, a prominent member of the X-Men, first appeared in Marvel Super-Heroes Vol. 3 #11 (1992).
Her mutant power allows her to absorb the powers, memories, and even physical characteristics of anyone she touches. This ability, initially uncontrollable, made physical contact dangerous for both Rogue and those around her. Early in her history, this included permanently absorbing the powers and psyche of Carol Danvers (Ms. Marvel), leaving her with flight, super strength, and a portion of Danvers' memories and personality.
Throughout her time with the X-Men, Rogue has strived to control her power and forge meaningful relationships, finding acceptance and purpose within the team.
